Tehreek-e-Jawanan Pakistan and Kashmir (TJPK) Chairman Abdullah Hamid Gul Tuesday said a controversial citizenship bill passed in the Indian Lok Sabha has exposed the Hindu extremist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) agenda which needs to be rolled back for the sake of peace in region. “The legislation has exposed the real face of India before the world. This dark legislation will divide India and Modi government will not be able to save the state from a debacle,” he said while addressing a roundtable conference organised at the TJPK Secretariat, attended by renowned Kashmiri leaders, scholars and party activists. Gul said India should not test the peace policy of Pakistan and its patience. He warned that the deteriorating situation of peace and security on the other side of the Line of Control and Kashmir can push Pakistan and India to a nuclear war. He said the overall situation of the Line of Control and the occupied Jammu and Kashmir is very serious. He said India’s aggressive and provocative actions have brought the entire region to the brink of war. “However, the armed forces of Pakistan have the capability to give a befitting response to any Indian aggression and misadventure,” he said. “The armed forces have successfully fought war against terrorism and the credit goes to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the entire team and the Pakistan Army,” he added. Gul said Indian Prime Minister Modi had also tried to sell his terror narrative to US President Donald Trump, but the latter instead offered mediation to resolve the Kashmir dispute. While Pakistan welcomed the offer, India rejected it, he lamented.
