On the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), Multan Solid Waste Management Company (MSWMC) has topped in all over Punjab by lifting 147 percent of waste in a single day. This was told by Managing Director Multan Solid Waste Management Company Nasir Shehzad Dogar while talking to the journalists here at Multan on Tuesday. In a monitoring report issued by Solid Waste Management Companies, MSWMC has lifted 1029 tons of waste. However Bahawalpur Division lifted 100 percent waste, Faisalabad Division 90 percent, Gujranwala 137 percent, and Rawalpindi with the lowest 59 percent and Sialkot Division with 105 percent. The increase of 329 tons of waste was observed in comparison with the daily average in Multan Division. Managing Director Multan Waste Solid Management Company Nasir Shehzad Dogar appreciated the hard work of his supervisors and workers. He said that despite the shortage of 23 percent vehicles, District Multan has completed its task. He said that Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) reminds us of the lessons taught by our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Cleanliness is the half of faith, this was said by Holy Prophet PBUH and we should follow his teachings, said MD MSWMC. He directed the citizens to cooperate with the staff of MSWMC on such occasions and observe cleanliness. In the recent two-day visit by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar appreciated the efforts of district administration and Multan Solid Waste Management Company over cleanliness of Multan City. Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar said that he had visited the city and he witnessed very positive developments in the arena of cleanliness. Cleanliness situation of Multan has been improved a lot and for the first time I have seen Multan city that much clean, said CM Punjab Managing Director Multan Waste Management Company Nasir Shehzad Dogar told that the cleanliness operation continued for consecutive 48 hours on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Multan Amir Khattak. Dogar further said that VIP routes were specially cleaned and grand cleanliness operation was launched on main highways and in the surroundings of hospitals. He said that whole administration of MWMC remained active for monitoring of cleanliness operation in whole city. I personally visited many areas to supervise the cleanliness situation and to direct the staff accordingly, he said. He said that the areas which were cleaned in 48 hours for exemplary cleanliness include Bosan Road, Chungi No. 9, Dolat Gate, Fish Market, Saiwra Chowk, Chungi No. 1, Tank Chowk, Chowk Kumharanwala, Ghanta Ghar, Shehbaz Sharif Hospital, Nishtar Hospital Road, Burn Unit, District Prison Road and Water works road.
