PESHAWAR: The students of the Balochistan University of Peshawar (UoP) strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the police training centre in Quetta which shook almost whole country. The students learning at different faculties of the UoP staged a protest demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) here on Wednesday. The infuriated students were holding placards inscribed with slogans demanding the earliest arrest of the involved persons in the brutal incident. The demonstrators were led by Umer Babar, president, Baluchistan Students (BS) UoP and Fazal Amin, the general secretary. Talking to reporters, Babar said that the Balochistan government had totally failed in maintaining peace in the province, adding that the province and particularly Quetta had become a security risk zone. He recalled that last August a suicide bomber had targeted the lawyers’ community and that incident was in still in the minds of the people but the anti-state elements managed to target the police training centre and in that bloodbath 70 police personnel lost their lives. He said that they strongly condemned the incident and asked the government to give a practical shape to the National Action Plan (NAP). They also appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Anwar Zaheer Jamali, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef and demanded of the federal government to immediately arrest the killers involved in the Quetta police training centre incident and award them severe punishment.
