At least 62 more dengue fever cases have been detected in Rawalpindi in a week, taking the reported cases toll to 1,436 during the current year. According to details, out of the 62 new cases, 39 cases were reported in the Pothohar region, while 23 were reported in the Airport Housing Scheme and surrounding areas. Dozens of people admitted in hospitals were found to be affected of dengue fever, said the administration of hospitals in Rawalpindi. Lahore CTF Traffic Assistant dies of Congo fever Meanwhile, a Lahore City Traffic Police (CTP) Traffic Assistant (TA) Sajid died of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), commonly known as Congo virus in Lahore on Sunday. According to details, Sajid was admitted to Mayo Hospital for three days due to the fever and was discharged yesterday. He resumed his duty after the medical leave, but his condition deteriorated after which he was rushed to a hospital where he died. Sajid was on leave for three days and he resumed duty at his own will and he did not apply for more leaves so that he could recover completely, said Chief Traffic Officer Malik Liaqat.
