KARACHI: Sindh High Court chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah has laid the foundation of the residential and studio apartments for judicial officers at Bath Island on Saturday. The hostel, comprising 68 residential and studio apartments, will cost over Rs 542 million to be provided by the provincial government out of which amounf of Rs 120 million has already been released. Addressing the participants of the ceremony , the chief justice said that the Sindh Judicial Academy, a training institution for judicial officers, is one of the best academies. CJ said that the construction of a hostel adjacent to the Sindh Judicial Academy was a long-standing dream which would finally see the light of day. 60 batches of the judicial officers had so far been trained at the academy, he said, adding around 600 judicial officers have been trained. The SHC judges, the members of the bar council and associations also attended the ceremony.
