A musical programme titled Colours of Freedom was presented at Alhamra on Thursday. Thirteen artists wonderfully performed on instrumentals tunes in the program which was much appreciated by the audience. During the show the performers presented some golden numbers of National songs including “Jiway Jiway Pakistan”, “Allah Ho Akbar”, “Mera Payara Watan”, “Yeh Watan Humara Hai”, “Sohni Dharti Allah Rakhey” and others performances on different instruments like, Guitar, Sarangi, Flute, violin, Keyboard, Sitaar, which got huge appreciation from the audience. On the occasion, Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said that Alhamra’s role in creating new opportunities for young people in the field of art is our prime goal. He said that we are trying our best to spared the message of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal in different ways in the ongoing Independence Day celebrations. An Art Exhibition will be held tomorrow in relation to Independence Day in which Information Minister Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal will attend the event as chief guest. He further said that we are glad to see that our new generation is making full use of the creative activities of Alhamra Arts Council.
