RAWALPINDI: Dengue fever cases have reduced in the city this year as 1151 dengue fever patients have so far been brought to the allied hospitals, while last year the number of dengue patients was 3290. This was said by the Executive District Officer Health Dr Arshad Ali Sabir on Tuesday. The executive district officer said since last week daily 14 to 15 patients were brought to allied hospitals, in October the number was 20 to 25, while earlier the number of daily patients were 35 to 40. The executive district officer expressed the hope that in December, the number of dengue patients would decline further as mercury was dropping day by day which was unsuitable for the breeding of dengue larvae. The executive district officer advised the residents to be careful during morning and evening hours as it was the roaming time of dengue mosquitoes.
