Sehwan police station on complaint of motorway patrolling officer, sub inspector Sadam Hussain Bhutto lodged an FIR number 78 under ATC sections against 60 persons for torturing and injuring four Motorway patrolling officers and damaging two Motorway Police vehicles on Jamshoro-Sehwan section near Sehwan on Friday. All four injured Motorway officers were admitted in Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Sehwan for treatment. Seven persons – Manthar Birhmani, Fida Hussain Birhmani, Salim Birhmani, Rozi, Ali Hassan, Sardar Mallah and Hyder Rind were nominated – and 53 others were unknown persons in FIR. Raids are underway to arrest the accused. According to the report: two vehicles of motorway police were damaged and four officers were beaten up seriously by truck/dumper drivers and their relatives when they were stopped due to carrying over load of Reti and Bajri on Sehwan-Jamshoro motorway some 3 kilometers away from Sehwan city on Friday. According to details, As soon as motor way police officers stopped the trucks and dumpers for carrying over load of materials from nearby located mountains near Sehwan city, the drivers asked the motorway police that the owners will come and pay the fine. As the other dumpers and relatives of drivers reached the spot, they started to damage the official vehicles identified as the motorway patrolling vehicle numberIDP-3746 and car of fine recovery officers number BFK 995. The beaten up four officers included: patrolling officer inspector Sadam Hussain Bhutto, Junior patrolling officer Rahim Gul, Cashier Mansoor Ahmed and driver Hussain. The injured officers were taken to Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Sehwan by other motorway officers. Meanwhile, the drivers of trucks and dumpers also blocked Sehwan-Jamshoro track for two hours. They carried clubs and stones and smashed vehicles of passengers, according to reports.
