The Supreme Court on Thursday has told singer and actress Meesha Shafi’s lawyer that the court will decide when and how the statements of the witnesses will be recorded. During the hearing of the defamation suit, Justice Ijazul Ahsan expressed resentment over Meesha Shafi’s lawyer for demanding to record testimonies of the witnesses before presenting the arguments. The judge said that in his 30-year career, he has not observed such kind of act over which, the counsel said that he can give him the examples. Justice Ijazul Ahsan adjourned the hearing until next week, saying that statement of one witness has already been recorded.
