The city administration, on Thursday, banned the sale and purchase of plastic shopping bags. Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) Administrator Farooq Langove noted that 12 plastic warehouses had been sealed in different parts of the city. That deadline has now expired.” Quetta is introducing biodegradable shopping bags while a private manufacturing plant has become operational for their production.
