The death of 25 yr old woman at a Sindh government hospital Korangi 5 took a new turn on Saturday when the police found that the woman was sexually assaulted before being murdered. The SHO Shahid Khan Awami Colony confirmed that she was intentionally administered a poisonous injection after being subjected to sexual assault at the hospital located in Korangi No.5. According to the Awami Colony police, Ghulam Muhammad, the brother of the deceased, had nominated the doctor on duty and compounder Shahzeb in the FIR, while four persons namely Aamir, Shahzaib Wali Muhammad and Dr. Ayaz are also being held responsible. Only Shahzaib is under police custody. Meanwhile, police have been raiding several hideouts to arrest another doctor claimed to be involved in the incident. As per sources, after her death, her body was kept in TB ward for three hours, and the injection and syringe, which were administered to her, were hidden. Her first death examined was performed at Jinnah Hospital in Karachi. For further medical examination and reports, samples have been sent to a laboratory in Islamabad. Daily Times reported on Friday that, the police had claimed Asmat, 25, who visited the hospital on Thursday complaining about tooth pain, died due to alleged negligence of doctors and staff. According to sources, the girl had been working with shahzaib in another hospital and recently both of them joined the same hospital.
