KARACHI: While deferring the decision on the plea of Sharjeel Inam Memon seeking extension of his bail in two corruption cases, the Sindh High Court has asked his counsel to apprise it of the exact date of his arrival in the country. A division bench headed Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar adjourned the hearing of the application till Jan 06 after his counsel sought time to seek instructions from Memon. Memon, former provincial minister and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), approached the court seeking extension of his protective bail in two corruption references. His lawyer told the judges that Memon wants to return home but he could not travel due to his ailment. Advocate Syed Faiz Shah requested the judges to extend his bail so that he could fly back home and surrender before the trial court. To a court’s query regarding the exact date of Memon’s returning home, Shah sought time to seek instructions from his client.
