MULTAN: Former provincial minister Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi has lauded the Multan Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chatha for initiating the ‘Rang Do Multan’ project. Qureshi made these remarks while addressing a ceremony to award shields to those who volunteered for the project. Qureshi was of the view that the project would magnify the historical importance of Multan and attract tourists to the city. He added that through this project, over 600 buildings in the walled city area of Multan were painted. He added that through the project, the historical monuments and buildings would become distinct and visible. The former minister hoped that the deputy commissioner, along with the mayor and deputy mayor, would continue his efforts to beautify the city of the saints. Speaking on the occasion, Nadir Chatha said that he wanted to see Multan listed among the most developed urban centres of the country and aimed to provide maximum relief to the people through efficient delivery of services. Deputy Mayor Munawwar Ehsan Qureshi said that the local administration and local representatives of the people would work together for the development of the city and added that people, especially traders, would greatly benefit from the execution of the ongoing Walled City Project.
