ISLAMABAD: Civil Progressive Alliance Pakistan (CPAP) President Samar Abbas, an activist from Karachi, has now reportedly gone missing from the capital. Abbas, who belonged to various forums that focused on highlighting the oppression and atrocities committed against the country’s minority groups, had been in Islamabad for business. However, according to CPAP General Secretary Talil Abbas, he suddenly fell silent on Saturday. “He was continuously in touch with his family, but on Saturday (Jan 7), his mobile phone was switched off. The family has not heard from him since,” Talil Abbas said. He added that Samar’s family, which included his wife and two children, would lodge a FIR against his disappearance on Wednesday.
