The police on Wednesday booked Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Member of National Assembly Alamgir Khan and others in a case of throwing sewerage water on Chief Minister (CM) House’s gate. The case, 19/2019, was registered by the Civil Lines Police Station against #FixIt founder Alamgir Khan and volunteers Saifullah, Sadaqat Ahmed and others. On Monday, Khan along with #FixIt volunteers held a unique protest demonstration against the non-resolution of Karachi’s civic problems. Khan and his team collected sewerage water in buckets threw it on the gate of the CM House as a show of anger on lack of sewerage water removal from several areas of the city. Consequently, the police booked Khan and his team members on Wednesday. #FixIt volunteer Saifullah was arrested from Malir and produced in a local court. He was granted a bail whereas Ahmed was granted a pre-arrest bail. Khan in his Tweet said that he would protest against the move because their act was not intended to disrespect anyone.
