LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday filed two separate resolutions in the Punjab Assembly Secretariat; one hailing the Pakistan Army for its successful test-fire of Babur-III cruse missile. PTI legislator Shoaib Siddiqui submitted the resolution about the missile, in which he – on behalf of the Punjab Assembly – congratulated the nation as well as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa, other commanders, scientists and engineers for their latest achievement. The resolution stated that the missile that could hit a target 450 kilometres away would also help enhance defence capabilities of the country, just like Babur-I and Babur-II. The resolution further stated that the latest version of the missile was in accordance with the need of the hour. In another resolution, also filed by PTI-backed legislator Malik Taimur Masood, the party demanded the government to strictly implement the existing law against kite flying to save the lives of innocent citizens. The resolution expressed concern over the violation of relevant laws and injuries taking place on a daily basis. It also demanded the Punjab government to deal with kite sellers. Both the resolution might be taken up in the upcoming session of the assembly this month.
