ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory police have put the orders of the interior ministry into doldrums regarding taking action against the vehicles having tinted glasses But instead of taking action on the orders, the officers of the district administration and the police force have placed the tinted glasses in their own vehicles. It has become a fashion in Islamabad to use cars with tinted glasses, which has created a security risk, especially for the vehicles that are used by the families of top bureaucrats. At almost all the exit and entry points of Islamabad, police officials do not take any action against the vehicles having tinted glasses because they belong to influential persons but on the other hand, if any common man puts tinted glass in his vehicle , the police get off the black paper from his car. The citizens have asked the IG Police to take action against the discriminatory behaviour of the police officials regarding tinted glasses. It is pertinent to mention here that a judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, expressed his apprehension on the use of black glasses in the vehicles. On his instruction the police had to register the challan of their two high officers including SP Bilal Zafar and ASP Umer Khan. The vehicles were owned by the interior ministry.
