GWADAR: A delegation led by Ahmad Algamdi, adviser to minister of energy of Saudi Arabia, visited Gwadar Port – a focal point of the CPEC project – and weighed various investment opportunities available there. The Saudi delegation was accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al Maliky. Speaking on the occasion, Maliky said that he was very happy that the Saudi delegation was visiting the port of Gawadar and experiencing all the wonderful investment opportunities it carries with their own eyes and this will enable them to take quick and better decisions for investment in near future. He further said that, Gawadar and CPEC have a lot of features and opportunities for trade and investment that Saudi investors can take advantage of, especially under the indicators that the government of Pakistan has promised to provide incentives and services for enhancing Saudi investment in the region. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is eager to invest in Pakistani Chinese Economic Corridor and very soon the projects will be announced and initiated thereon. Nawaf also added that the Saudi investment will contribute to promotion of economic stability in Pakistan as per earlier discussions and commitment between King Salman the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. He termed the visit very successful and hoped this initiative would contribute to further strengthening of brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
