ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Friday is chairing the first meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Shehbaz Sharif was elected as PAC chairman on December 21. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif who has been in National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) custody was issued with a production order by the Speaker National Assembly to attend the meeting. The PAC Chairman is briefing committee members about the working of the committee. Earlier speaking to media representative at the Parliament House he PML-N President expressed deep concern at the political situation in the country. “Accountability has nothing to do with what’s happening, this is injustice and transgression,” he said. “We respect the judiciary but disagree with NAB court’s decision,” the PML-N leader added. The second session of the committee will be held on Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1.
