Sindh Chief Secretary (CS) Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah directed Works and Services secretary to coordinate with other secretaries and divisional commissioners to resolve the issues arising in development schemes and ensure their timely completion. He also advised the finance secretary to release the allocated funds for the schemes. CS Mumtaz warned that negligence would not be tolerated. Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah was presiding over a high level meeting regarding development schemes initiated in Mirpurkhas Division on Sunday when he issued the aforementioned instructions. The meeting discussed the progress of all development projects including ADP schemes of Mirpurkhas district. The participants were informed that 233 schemes in Umerkot, and 168 schemes in Mithi would completed by June 2019. They were told that the schemes pertained to Health, Education, Irrigation, Agriculture , Forest and livestock, Fisheries, Food, Excise and Taxation, Information, Energy ,Planning and Development department were being rapidly completed. The CS advised the deputy commissioner to coordinate with relevant nation-building departments in order to complete the development schemes and projects in a timely manner. He also asked the commissioners to monitor the progress regularly and let him know if they needed his help. CS Mumtaz said that there was a dire need to finish these schemes with devotion and transparency. The meeting was attended by the all administrative secretaries, commissioners and deputy commissioners of Mirpurkhas Division, chief engineers and other relevant officials.
