ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FAI) on Friday has arrested anchor Shahid Masood in Pakistan Television corruption case. The FIA arrested Shahid Masood from the premises of Islamabad High Court (IHC). Shahid Masood was appointed PTV chairman in the tenure of Pakistan Peoples Party government and is accused of corruption worth around Rs33 million. The FIA were looking for the absconding former PTV chairman as Masood had fled a local court in Islamabad in October after it rejected his bail plea in PTV corruption case. Special judge central Kamran Basharat Mufti had read the decision of the state television’s corruption case. In the proceedings, the FIA had argued against Masood’s pre-arrest bail.
