The body was received at the Torkham border from Afghan officials by tribal leaders and MNA Mohsin Dawar. At first Afghan officials, refused to hand over SP Dawar’s body to their Pakistani counterparts, saying they would only hand over his body to MNA Mohsin Dawar or tribal representatives. SP Tahir Dawar, who went missing from Islamabad on October 27, was found dead in Nangarhar earlier this week. His martyrdom was confirmed by the Afghan government. Pakistan earlier lodged a protest with Afghanistan over the delay in handing over SP Dawar’s body. SP Dawar had gone missing from Islamabad on October 27 and his body was found from Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on November 13.
