RAWALPINDI: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar was discharged from Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology on Monday after a day-long stay due to cardiac issues. Justice Nisar was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after check-up revealed one of his artery was blocked. Angioplasty was performed by doctors to open one of the blocked artery to restore normal flow of the blood. He was discharged today after his health improved. However, hearings of the cases that the top judge was expected to lead today were postponed. Speaking to the media, Athar Kiyani RIC head Major General (retd) Athar Kiyani carried out CJP’s check-up Monday morning. He said Justice Nisar’s blood pressure and heart rate were both normal.
