Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said on Monday that former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif are no different from each other. They are well aware of the corruption both have done. Commenting on the press conference of Asif Ali Zardari, Abdul Aleem Khan said that it is a known fact that he will not be spared from being held accountable for his actions. He said that from the last one decade, PM Imran Khan also has the same version that both these former heads of the country are corrupt and looted the national exchequer for their personal motives and plundered heavy funds in the name of democracy. Aleem Khan said that both these “leaders” did nothing for the welfare of common man and this country and their corruption has been exposed. He said if Zardari would like to tell the people that how he would like to shake hands or hug those who were ready to “drag him on the roads”. Aleem said that those who at one time even disrespected each other are now joining hands just to give tough time to Imran Khan, the one who pledges to introduce corruption free system in the country. He said that the nation has the right to question who out of Nawaz Sharif and Zardari is responsible for looting the country and deteriorating it. The senior minister said that each sector of the country reflecting bankruptcy and cheques of more than Rs 80 billion have been bounced back only in Punjab. He said that only to save his own skin, Zardari is siding with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in order to gain strength and to challenge the government. Aleem added that these corrupt elements are not ready to even give five months to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government despite ruling the country for decades themselves and are joining hands to destabilise the democratic system. He said that holding of new elections is not a joke and masses have given five years’ mandate to the present government and before that, the dreams of a new government cannot be fulfilled. Aleem said that deprivation from rule has saddened Zardari and his comrades, including Sharif and both are ready to connive together to save themselves. However, they will not succeed.
