Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will leave for Afghanistan tomorrow on a one-day tour. Following US Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo’s visit to Pakistan on Sep 5, Qureshi had said that he would pay his first visit to Afghanistan. Pompeo had asked Pakistan to help his country bring Talibans to talks. Qureshi will hold delegation-level talks with his counter part in Afghanistan. During the meeting, bilateral ties and matters pertaining to regional security will be discussed. Pakistan’s foreign minister will also raise the issues of border management and cross border terrorism with Afghanistan.
