The medical entry test has been scheduled to be conducted on September 23 in three centers including the Government Post Graduate College (satellite Town), the Government Comprehensive High School (Model Town) and the Government Higher Secondary School (GT Road) in Gujranwala. In this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Dr Rabia Riasat presided over a meeting with administrative officials to examine all necessary arrangements including foolproof security measures. She ordered Executive District Officer (EDO) for Education and concerned officers to ensure provision of furniture, potable water and proper sitting arrangements for students and their parents. She further directed officers to install CCTV cameras and walk-through metal detectors in the examination centers. A total of 3,610 candidates are expected to appear in the entry test. Man killed by unidentified men A man was shot dead by assailants on Monday on Sialkot road in Gujranwala. Reportedly, two armed men came on a motorcycle and opened fire on Amjad, and managed to escape from the spot. Resultantly, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot while the motive behind the attack could not be ascertained. Meanwhile, police started investigation into the incident. Police lodge cases against two suspects for assaulting minor girls The Dhulley police station on Monday lodged sexual assault cases against two suspects for allegedly attempting to rape minor girls in Gujranwala. Reportedly, Adil took four-year-old Fajjar to a deserted house and tried to abuse her. Meanwhile, passersby heard her cries and gathered around the house, but the suspect managed to flee from the scene. In another incident, Daniyal Masih took a seven-year-old girl in his house, and tried to rape her. However, passersby gathered there while the accused fled from the spot.
