KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Ali Raza Abidi on Friday said he would announce whether to leave the party or not. According to sources, Abidi is Disgruntled over not being awarded ticket for the by-election of NA-243, a seat which was left vacant by Imran Khan. In July 25 elections, Abidi could manage to get only 24082 votes against the PTI chairman who bagged over 90,000. According to the sources, MQM-P’s former convener Farooq Sattar and his all allies were kept at bay while deciding nomination of a candidate for NA 243. While talking to Daily Times, Abidi lamented that he felt bad for not being nominated for NA 243 where he said he had worked hard. “I would announce my decision soon whether to leave MQM-P or not since the party leadership does not like me”, he said. “There are many others in the party who are not satisfied with the current leadership,” he claimed without mentioning the names. He alleged that the party leadership ignored him because of having affiliation with Farooq Sattar. It is to be noted here that Sattar had suggested the name of Abidi for the seat but leadership denied his suggestion. According to sources, Faisal Sabzwari’s name has been finalised for NA-243 by-election.
