GUJRANWALA: Gujranwala Division Commissioner Asadullah Faiz on Saturday inspected facilities being provided to the citizens in land record centers. Reportedly, he responded to the issues of citizens, and ordered the concerned staff to adopt effective measures for the resolution of their problems on the priority basis. Furthermore, he directed City in-charge and Sadar land record centers to process the computerisation of land records in the specified time period. Besides, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Hussain and Protocol Officer Nadeem Butt briefed the Commissioner about the process of computerisation of land records on the occasion. Woman ends her life over domestic issue A 38-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide over a trivial domestic issue at TajPura Mohallah in Gujranwala. Reportedly, Zahida felt disheartened after having a quarrel with her husband Azhar, and consequently swallowed poisonous pills. She was rushed to the DHQ Hospital in critical condition where she breathed her last. Robbers’ gang busted, five arrested The Garjakh police on Saturday arrested five members of a dacoit gang known as Kashi gang in a raid on their suspected hideout in Ali G town area of Gujranwala. Reportedly, City Superintendent of Police (SP) Shahbaz Elahi told the media that police took action on a tip-off and arrested the suspects including Umer Sohail, Muhammad Ejaz, Javed, Mehmood and Zulifqar Ali. Meanwhile, officers also recovered four pistols, ammunitions, seven stolen motorcycles, gold ornaments, a Mazda loader and Rs 100,000 in cash from their possession.
