ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar expressed resentment over the delays faced in the Nandipur power project corruption scandal. A 2011 petition was restored by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khawaja Asif against alleged corruption in the construction of the power plant. According to a report by Justice Rehmat Hussain Jafri submitted in court, the delays and negligence of then-law minister cost the national exchequer Rs113 billion.
