Police Martyrs Day is being observed nationwide on 4 August to remember the brave police officers who sacrificed their lives for the country in the war against terror. Youm-e-Shuhada is being observed on the death anniversary of former Frontier Constabulary Commandant of KP Police Shaheed Safwat Ghayur, who died in a terrorist attack August 4, 2010. Special functions have been arranged all over Pakistan to pay tribute to heroes of the nation. People are paying tribute to the heroes through different social media platforms.
