ISLAMABAD: The IOC Olympic Solidarity seminar on ‘Sports Medicine and Protection of Clean Athletes’ will be organised by the Pakistan Olympic Association in Islamabad on Aug 4 and 5. Over 150 male and female athletes, coaches, team managers, and general secretaries of the national sports federations will attend the seminar. The purpose of the seminar is to educate and raise awareness among athletes on the global challenges and trends in issues related to sports medicine and safe sport. This particular seminar will educate athletes on hazards, such as doping and drug abuse, and aims to create a culture of clean sports. In addition, it will impart a special focus on sports nutrition and sexual harassment in sports fraternities. POA president Lt Gen Syed Arif Hasan will inaugurate the seminar.
