Twelve students from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University have gotten scholarships to study at the Sichuan Agriculture University, China. According to the university, the scholarships have been granted purely on merit, in which a total number of 12 students would be able to get degrees of Philosophy of Doctorate, Masters in Philosophy, Management Sciences and MSc Programmes. Maryam Mumtaz, Imran Khan, M Shoaib and Noor Fatima have been awarded scholarships for PhD, Bilal Adil and Hassan Karim for MS, M Naeem and Abuzar Ghafoor for MPhil and Tehsin Ahmed, Ata Mohayuddin, Ahsan Khan and M Jawad for Masters in various disciplines of Agriculture. Professor Dr Sarwat N Mirza extended his heartiest greetings to the scholarship holders and advised them to remain dedicated to their studies and research by performing well and smartly. He said it was a source of great pleasure for him and was an honour for the university to have a huge number of scholarships which is the result of collective efforts made by varsity for student development. He also hoped for more achievements by the alma mater and continuity of the process. Agriculture Sciences University Dean Professor Dr Nadeem Akhtar Abbasi congratulated the students for getting the scholarships and extended every support from university for their success. Scholarship folders were handed over to the students in the encouragement ceremony in which deans and directors also expressed their greetings to the successful students.
