ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Senator Rehman Malik on Thursday lashed out at the popular micro-blogging website Twitter for suspending the account of senior PPP leader Raza Rabbani. In a tweet, Malik expressed “shock” over suspension of Rabbani’s Twitter account and asked Twitter to restore his account. “I am shocked to see that Twitter has blocked his account. I demand its reactivation,” he said while raising serious concerns over the credibility of twitter. The issue of his account’s suspension came to light when another page, apparently being operated by the team of former chairman of Senate, voiced its concern on the Twitter’s action. However, the cause of suspension has been unclear. Published in Daily Times, August 3rd 2018.
