Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra has left Salman Khan’s “Bharat’” ‘in the Nick of time’. She will now be the leading lady of “Cowboy Ninja Viking” opposite “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt. The 35 year old actress is in talks to join Universal’s adaptation of “Cowboy Ninja Viking” an action drama from Universal Pictures, starring Chris Pratt. According to the reports, Priyanka will play role of Pratt’s “love interest”. However, it is still not clear exactly what role she is up for, but a couple of possibilities are Grear, the ex-wife of lead character Duncan (Pratt), or Sara Nix, his current love interest and the assistant to Dr. Ghislain, the creator of the story’s Triplets Program. The movie is based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo. It was adapted by Dan Mazeau (“Wrath of the Titans”) and Ryan Engle (“The Commuter”). Craig Mazin wrote an earlier draft of the screenplay with an original version by “Deadpool” writers Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese. The novel revolves around an assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: a cowboy, a ninja, and a Viking. “Cowboy Ninja Viking” is set to hit the theaters on June 28 2019.
