The power division has established two control rooms, one each at Islamabad and Lahore to monitor, coordinate and take necessary steps where required for ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply during polling and completion of counting across the country tomorrow (Wednesday). The control room in Islamabad shall be supervised by additional secretary Wasim Mukhtar while another additional secretary Dr Amir Ahmed will head the control room at the Water & Power Development Authority House, Lahore. Power Secretary Rizwan Memon will remain in close contact and will monitor the overall situation of the country. The monitoring teams will also keep updating Federal Minister for Energy Syed Ali Zafar. The power division has already issued necessary directions to the National Power Control Centre and all DISCOs to ensure uninterrupted power supply across country on polling day tomorrow (Wednesday) until completion of counting.
