“All government servants violating the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) must be suspended,” said Sindh Chief Secretary Major (retd) Azam Suleman Khan while presiding over a review meeting regarding the violation of ECP’s code of conduct on Friday. Chief Secretary Sindh Major Rtd. Azam Suleman Khan issued these instructions to all Administrative Secretaries of Sindh Government while presiding over the review meeting held in Sindh Secretariat. During the meeting, it was decided that all servants of Sindh Government who violate the election code of conduct will be suspended. Services General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) Implementation and Coordination Secretary Syed Mohsin Ali Shah, while briefing the meeting informed them that action had been taken against 48 officials of School Education Department, 9 officials of Local Government and 18 officials of Health Department for violating ECP’s code of conduct. Syed Mohsin Ali Shah also informed the meeting that action had also been taken against 22 elected representatives who were involved in violating the code of conduct. He further stated that amongst the defaulters were 14 employees of Board of Revenue, 8 employees of Agriculture Department, 5 employees of Food Department, 3 employees of Information Department, 6 officials of Auqaf and 5 officials of Home Department including one DSP. He told the participants that Director Colleges of Sukkur Region, Abdul Bari Inder had also been moved while 4 Zakat District Chairmen had been dismissed. On this, Sindh Chief Secretary ordered to withdraw the powers of all Chairmen of Zakat Committees till the completion of election process. He said that suspended employees of Sindh government should be reported in Karachi and their attendance should be recorded in their offices till the day of polling. Member Board of Revenue’s Senior Member Dr. Iqbal Hussain Durrani, Health Secretary Usman Chachar , Information Secretary Qazi Shahid Parvez, Home Sectretary Haroon A.
