ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will compete at the Asian Rugby Sevens Championship in Singapore next month. The national team are set to leave on August 3, while the two-day competition will be held on August 4 and 5 in which other countries taking part are Thailand, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Jordan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Uzbekistan and hosts Singapore. Pakistan are placed in Group C alongside Singapore, Bangladesh, Brunei and Laos. According to the format of the event, all league matches will be played on August 4, while the positional matches and final will be staged on August 5. Meanwhile, the training camp is being shifted to Lahore from Islamabad next week to give prepare the squad. A final team from following 17probables will be picked: Ahmed Wasim, Mohammad Shoaib Akbar, Saad Arif, Adnan Saeed Niazi, Kashif Khawaja, Mian Hamza, Khalid Hussain Bhatti, Mohammad Afzal, Mohammad Talha, Daud Gill, Ali Shahid, Mohammad Waqas, Musadiq Altaf, Mohammad Haroon, Faisal Aslam, Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Nasir.
