TURIN: According to the latest reports, former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is set to join Juventus and become their new sporting director from October next season. Zidane’s supposed appointment at Juventus comes just days after Cristiano Ronaldo signed for the Turin-based club from Real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo were part of the Real Madrid side that won their third consecutive Champions League trophy in May. 46-year-old spent five years with the Old Lady before moving to the Bernabeu in a then world-record deal of €77.5m in 2001 but still has a special relationship with the Bianconeri. He left Juventus having won two Serie A titles but never clinched the Champions League with the Old Lady. Juve chief Beppe Marotta is determined to bring the Champions League back to Turin.
