RAWALPINDI: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani telephoned Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday and offered condolences over the loss of innocent lives in the recent terrorist attacks in the country. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Afghan president telephoned COAS and condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan. Moreover, Ghani also assured the army chief of full-cooperation for the purpose of border security, while he also vowed to assist Pakistan’s armed forces during elections 2018. COAS thanked Ghani for his cooperation. Last week, more than a 100 people were killed and 150 injured in an attack on the convoy of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Siraj Raisani in Darengarh area of Mastung in Quetta. Raisani’s convoy was targeted shortly after he attended a corner meeting in the said area. The BAP leader succumbed to the injuries when he was being shifted to a hospital.
