Interim Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has said that caretaker government is vigilant to organise the upcoming elections in a peaceful environment. In a statement issued on Sunday, the chief minister said that police and other Law enforcing agencies were actively playing their part to deal with anti-social elements. He said that arrangements were being moved forward for completion of elections under the frame work issued by Election Commission of Pakistan. Moreover, he said that it was the government’s responsibility to provide a safe and peaceful environment to people so that they could use their right of vote. “The caretaker government is taking all out steps to serve people and provide them with better facilities according to their mandate,” he added. Dr. Askari further said that elections held a significant place in the history so every person needed to play his role in this regard. He said that police and other law enforcing agencies were effectively delivering their duties to curb the menace of terrorism from our province.
