The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 119 culprits including 41 Proclaimed Offenders and 14 court absconders and recovered cash, vehicles, drugs and illegal weapons from their possession. According to details, a patrolling official on receiving information conducted a search operation and recovered a stolen car after arresting culprit Basharat Ali and another patrolling official arrested a thief and recovered two stolen motor bikes from his possession. In another case, patrolling officials found a bag of truck tube valuing Rs 60,000. The PHP team traced the owner and returned his bag. The POs and court absconders included Ghulam Muhammad, Nadeem, Fida Hussain, Ashraf, Maqsood, Umar, Azam, Farhan Shah, Zakir, Mumtaz, Ashiq Hussain, Parvez, Allah Yar, Arshad, Dilbar Ashraf, Inayatullah, Amin, Iqbal, Iftikhar Ahmad, Murtaza, Khizar, Shahbaz, Manzoor Ahmad, Naziran Bibi, Hasnain, Nazeer, Ashiq Ali, Saif, Ali Haider, Ehsan, Ishfaq, Khan, Waqar Hussain, Wasim Akhtar and Usman. Similarly, PHP team arrested 31 culprits namely Nawaz, Saqlain, Shahbaz, Shamshad, Mukhtiar, Akram, Tariq, Sajid, Ab Majeed, Zahoor Ahmad, Ihsan, Mubarik Salim, Ali, Ali Hassan, Zubair, Imran, Ihsan, Ghulam Hussain, Liaquat, Aftab, Sarfaraz, Adil, Ismail and Altaf by taking into possession 364 litre liquor and 4,301 grammes hashish from them. The PHP teams also arrested other 33 culprits namely Ali Raza, Walo Khan, Talha, Noshair, Hafeez, Zubair, Nadeem Ahmad, Zafar Hussain, Habib Khan, Qasim Ali, Wasim Khan, Adil Khan, Jamshed, Ahmad Nawaz, Hayatullah, Faisal, Imran, Umar Hayat, Sohail, Sharjeel, Farooq, Zeeshan, Basharat, Naeem, Mehran, Khurram and Mukhtiar Ahmed on having illicit arms and recovered 27 pistols, five guns, a rifle, nine cartridges and 114 bullets from their possession.
