Caretaker Advisor for Special Education Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz, during a seminar on Saturday, said that the government is committed to help and support people with disabilities so they can spend their lives as productive and dignified citizen of the society. This he stated while addressing a seminar “The process of Change” commemorating world disability day. The seminar was organized by ‘Dar ul Sukun’, a centre providing education, training and support to persons with disability. Brigadier Haris said that government through its policies is striving to secure the rights of people with disability and in this connection quota of jobs for persons with disability has also been increased from two percent to five percent. He added that the directives for implementation quota are being issued to all public and private sector organizations. The seminar was addressed by Dar-ul- Sukun Sr.Ruth Incharge Lewis,Senator Anwar Laldin, famous artist Mr,Talat Hussain, eye and medical specialist Dr.Qazi Muhammad Wasiq, Pathologist Dr Siraj ud doula, Katchi Aabadi Director General Dr.Saed Iqbal,Ms.Naz Baluch and others.
