ISLAMABAD: Asif Ali Zardari, the former President and co-chairperson Pakistan Peaoples Party (PPP) to appear before the Supreme Court in money laundering case, today. Yesterday, Zardari and his sister, Faryal Talpur did not appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) with regards to 35-billion money laundering scam. Though, there legal team appeared before the FIA and submitted written statements on behalf of Zardari and Talpur, stating that they are busy in election campaign, and therefore will appear after July 25. Zardari, after taking the counsel of party leaders and consulting his legal team, has finally decided to appear before the Supreme Court. It should me noted that the SC has summoned all the individuals in involved in money laundering case, and also the names of Zardari and Talpur, including 35 others have been placed on Exit Control List (ECL).
