Caretaker Sindh Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Authority, Col (retd) Dost Muhammad Chandio said, on Tuesday, that the route of Green Line Bus project would be extended to Keamari Dockyard to facilitate the residents of Karachi. Presiding over a meeting regarding Bus Project , Chandoio assured the root building company that its issues would be resolved. He said that land would be acquired for bus depot at Surjani project. He added that this project was an important project which would reduce traffic problems of metropolitan and provide quality transport facilities to commuters in Karachi. The minister was told that the green line route was 22 kilometer long and was funded by federal government. He was informed that in the first phase of the project, hundred buses would ply on route and an international bidding process would be carried out. He was further informed that for security of project a private security company had already been hired through a competitive bidding process. Secretary Transport Saeed Awan, Karachi Infrastructure Development Company Chief Engineer Nisar Ahmed Sario, EA Director Shafi Chachar, Tanveer Ahmed and others attended meeting.
