Sindh Home Department established a ‘law and order monitoring cell’ to maintain smooth communication with all election cells and control rooms of respective Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs), commissioners and deputy commissioners to monitor the law and order situation during the General Election 2018. The Home Department requested the concerned authorities to forward information pertaining to law and order situations, to the newly established Law and Order Monitoring Cell. According to the details, the Law and Order Monitoring Cell will function round the clock in two shifts with immediate effect. The shift hours are 09:00 am to 05:00 pm and 05:00 pm to 12:00 am. In the monitoring cell, information regarding law and order situation and violation of ECP Code of Conduct (if any) will be instantly recorded and a consolidated report in this regard would be compiled at 10:00 am and 08:00 pm on daily basis.
