GUJRANWALA: An anti-corruption team on Monday detained an assistant director of Sialkot’s education department for taking a bribe of Rs 5000 for favouring a retired teacher. Reportedly, a citizen Muhammad Sakhawat filed an application with the anti-corruption department accusing Muhammad Boota, the assistant director of enquiry branch of Sialkot’s education department, for allotting certain services to a retired teacher Shaheen Anjum. After investigating the matter, an anti-corruption team raided on assistant director’s office and caught him red handed while receiving a bribe of Rs 5000. Published in Daily Times, July 10th 2018.
