LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday rejected the disqualification petition against the Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Chairman Asif Ali Zardari. Iqbal Haider filed the petition for their disqualification. The petition read that PPP’s Bilawal has used PPPP’s electoral symbol (arrow) in his party’s manifesto which is against the election act sub-clause 3 of section 215. On the other hand, PPPP’s leader Zardari is using PPP’s flag which is against the election act sub-clause 2 of section 200. The petitioner claimed that no political party is allowed to use other political party’s symbol or flag and requested the court to disqualify both of them. The LHC, however, heard the appeal and overruled it.
