The 11th sitting of Gosha-e-Gayan was held at Alhamra Arts Council on the Mall, on Thursday. Famous actor, director and producer of television and film, Usman Pirzada, was the main speaker of the weekly seating. Usman Pirzada shared his views and thoughts circling his life and career. He also shared his thoughts about people’s rights on one another and his experiences in the field of acting, direction and production. In his address, he elaborated how theatre began in Pakistan along with putting a detailed light on theatre’s history. He has appreciated the Lahore Arts Council’s effort for the promotion of arts and culture. A large number of people other than Alhamra’s staff attended the session. Different people praised Captain (r) Atta Muhammad Khan who started and established the Gosha-e-Gayan to offer a platform where everyone could share their observations and learn from scholars and different famous personalities about different fields and dimensions of life. On the occasion, Alhamra Arts Council Executive Director Atta Muhammad thanked Usman Pirzada and said that the reason of the sessions was to raise awareness among the people about human rights, arts and culture. He further said, “I invite you all to be part of this Gosha-e-Gayan. Come to join us and learn regarding diverse fields of life.” Alhamra Chairman Tauqir Nasir said that culture is the superior weapon to build a soft image in front of the world and national solidarity is alive in the promotion of art.
