Gujranwala: Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Nizarat Ali Shah directed the concerned officials to adhere to the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). While addressing a meeting at his office on Thursday, Syed Nizarat Ali Shah said that no one would be allowed to violate the ECP code of conduct. He said that the field officers should urgently remove the banners, hoardings, steamers of those candidates who did not follow the code of conduct. Nizarat Ali Shah further directed the incharges of monitoring teams to submit their reports on a daily basis so that action could be taken against the violators. He emphasized upon the need to maintain a close liaison with SHOs of police stations so that monitoring teams could perform their duties without any fear and pressure. During the meeting, the additional deputy commissioner was told that 8914 banners, posters had been removed by the monitoring teams so far. Stamp paper vendor arrested for forging a sale deed Anti corruption department arrested a stamp paper vendor involved in a property fraud case on Thursday. According to the details, Raheel Ahmed a stamp vendor with the collaboration of land mafia gang had prepared a forged sale deed of a house on bogus stamp paper. An investigation was launched by the anti corruption department on the application of the owner of the house, Rana Sarfraz. It was reported that Ali Hassan, aged 31, was crossing the road when a speeding motorcycle hit him badly.
