“There are vast opportunities of investment in sectors of mining, tourism, food, medical equipment, education, health and other sectors of investment,” Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) chairperson Naheed Memon said on Wednesday. While talking to Indonesian Consul General Totok Prianamto, Naheed Memon said that Sindh had an abundance of investment opportunities. Naheed Memon said that Pakistan was a country of investments and the international trade and business community had been showing great interest in investing in many developing sectors of country. On the occasion, Naheed Memon and Totok Prianamto discussed matters of mutual interests, current trade and business ties between Indonesia and Pakistan. They both agreed that there was need to improve present bilateral trade volumes. The Indonesian envoy informed SBI chairperson that they were arranging a seminar in Karachi to highlight Indonesian palm oil industry. The envoy said that Sindh was very important for investors also because in addition to being the industrial hub of the country, it possessed two ports. He expressed his intention for extending full support to boost business and investment between Pakistan and Indonesia.
